New years eve 2009
The last few weeks of December 2009 all built up to this one night.
Ok… Well Wayne had spent a night at my house after kindly looking after me, I wasn’t very well
But after some careful convincing of my mother we managed to escape the house and make a trip down to Wayne’s.
Racing his parents (who were on their way home from Wales) to fit the toilet seat we made it home and watched Wayne struggle with some polski fitting instructions. Time passed quite quickly, we had to be out soon and on the tube to dinner. Some sneaky face pulling in the trains window we made it to the O2 and had a lovely meal at Zizzis. Wayne was annoyed because our meal was late, something about charging it to another table… Anyway, dinner was good and I managed to not spill any of my carbonara sauce down myself. Some after some long awaited hand holding, I was taken on a tour of the O2, very cold, they need some heating in there. Back on the tube, going through the disabled barriers coz we’re too cheap to pay we make our way to Westminster Bridge. Well to say the least the BBC DJ was not great, boo.com but it kept us going for the four hours we stood on that bridge counting down to the beginning of the New Year together. Well ok there were a few issues, being squished was one, and being very cold but a few cold hands up tshirts solved that. And maybe Wayne’s hand else where
So the final count down begins, and the fireworks begin to start. I’m a bit confused as to whether it’s actual midnight yet as I’m sure the fireworks started early but hey ho. Wayne and his trusty iPhone are on the case filming the pretty fireworks. He did well multi-tasking, filming and getting a fantastic New Year Kiss *X*. So we wait for the fireworks to finish, and everybody around is moving and Wayne’s looking really agitated and holding back, like he wants to say something but can’t. A few reassuring kisses later and I got what I stood on that bridge for four hours for. Three little, perfect words. Was such a good start the New Year. 2010 get ready for Wayne and Fran, we’re gona rock the world
