I nearly died and crashed getting there but it was worth it. Here’s how the story goes.

It started when i planed to come over for the evening, little did i know I would be there for 4 days

The heavy snow came down around me and my car was skidding even pulling off of my drive, i set off on my way and aimed to get to Frans within the hour. The traffic was okay at this point but as i hit the m25 it was gridlocked and the snow was causing mayhem.

An hour passed since I left and i was still at the beginning of the m25. This was not going to plan…

Tunes on and watching the heavy snow rain down, slowly watching my fuel gauge drop I thought this cant get any worse can it? How wrong I was, i eventually made it to the m4 2 hours after my set off time and was met with stationary traffic… So bad I had to turn my engine off and put my feet up to relax as we just weren’t moving at all!

After getting nowhere fast I was advised to pull off at the next junction, which was the Slough/Windsor one only to be hit my more traffic and a boy racer chav who decided to try and race me then realise he had no chance so he decided to talk to me and ask me more about the car…

The snow had been coming down for ages now as I pulled off the main roads and took some country back roads but OMG this was a bad idea… The snow was now ice and slush, the car decided to speed up as I broke and go sideways into head on traffic, It sh1t me up but I managed to control it.

I passed a good few cars stuck or upside down in ditches but the voice on the other end of the phone kept me going, i was determined to make it to my destination and after over 3 hours of travel time I just wanted to get there fast and safe.

A lot of the roads were blocked with cars skidding and not moving but my beast even with its FWD and big power managed to climb and skid its way eventaully coming to a rest at the top of Frans road some 4 hours after i initially left my house.

I was there

The snow had gotten worse overnight, and i was stranded. Fran had work but I had that whole week off leading up to Xmas. So I stayed in bed and Fran made her journy in and it wasn’t long before we were emailing.

The room was a mess, so as I was home alone I decided to tidy up. {pic below}

The days were long but the nights were so short one night we took a snowy walk and ended up in popes meadow sitting on the swings in the park, so close together and wanting to say so much but the words didnt come, we talked with kisses and strolled hand in hand along the beautiful snowy scenery.
